A rubbishy book - I had to buy this book for my AQA Chemistry AS course, and I really don t like it. For those taking AQA Chemistry, buy a revision guide as well.Firstly, although it has many practise exam question double spreads throughout the book, it does not have the answers to the exam papers, and although the answer is usually somewhere in the chapter, some of the harder questions can really lag on your mind if you cannot solve them. You have to ask your teacher or someone for help which can be really annoying, particularly if you have an exam the next morning (which I do).Secondly the book is really wordy, and although it does have some pictures, it is harder to follow with long chunks of writing.Thirdly, many of the topics are not very well explained, and I have a lot of difficulty with amount of substance due to inadequate explanations of answers. If you take AQA Chemistry you need this book. However my advice is to get another one (I am buying the OCR one tomorrow) or get a good revision guide. For £20 it is too thin to really qualify as a textbook, but that s what we have to buy.For all A Level students, I wish you luck with this rubbishy book.
